Wooden Cross…Crown of Thorns…Nails…

Wooden Cross Crown of Thorns Nails In it all He showed just how much He cared… “Would you take the place of this man Would you take the nails from his hands Would you take the place of this man Would you take the nails from his hands” “The moon and stars they wept The morning sun was dead The Savior of the world was fallen His body on the cross His blood poured out for us The weight of every curse upon him One final breath He gave As […]

Faith…Believe…Trust…Do Not Doubt

Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.  Matthew 21:21  And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.  Matthew 17:20 There are many plans in a man’s heart, Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand.  Proverbs 19:21  But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.  Matthew 19:26 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.  James 1:2-4  The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.  Psalm 34:17-18 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly […]

Happy New Year…

This morning, my friend sent me a beautiful picture of an owl. She knows my love for owls, I collect them like other people collect Precious Moments or dishes or Willow Tree Angels. It’s funny how one little picture can turn into such a blessing. It made me feel loved/happy to know she thought of me when she seen it and took the time to share it. What made it even more special was later in the day, something reminded me of it again. I’ve stayed in for most of […]

The Greatest Gift of All…

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on Earth peace, good will toward men. Luke 2:11-14 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 Indeed, Glory to God in the highest… The greatest gift of all was born in a manager in swaddling clothes. He came into this world for one purpose… to bear our sins on a cross. And she shall bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call His name Jesus; for He shall save His people from their sins. Matthew 1:21 The angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a Son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins.” Matthew 1:18-25 Jesus…Name above all names… The true reason for the season. True love was born […]

Praise Him in the Pit…

I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock and established my goings. And He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God; many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.  Psalm 40:1-4 Even in the pit, Praise Him.  He is there in the pit with us… Just like He was in the lions den, in the belly of a whale, and in the firey furnace. He will never leave or forsake you. The pit has a reason. Even though we may not see the whole picture, God does. We must trust Him. The pit may be the thing that finally brings you to your knees for you to LOOK UP, for you to cry out to Him to save you, for you to realize what areas in your life need to be shaped into His way. But now, O Lord, Thou art our Father; we are the clay, and Thou art our potter; and we all are the work of Thy hand. Isaiah 64:8 Yes, He is the potter and we are the clay. Thank you Lord, for shaping me. The pit can also be your testimony, to bring others to see Gods love. The struggles we go through could be the […]

With Thanksgiving…

That I may proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all Your wondrous works. Psalm 26:7 Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. Psalm 95:2 A psalm of Thanksgiving   Psalm 100:1-5 Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of […]

The Harvest Truly Is Plentiful…

But when He saw the multitudes, He was filled with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.  Then He said to his disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few, therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” Matthew 9:36-38 This Monday, my Momma and I traveled to my doctor appointment and couldn’t wait to eat at our favorite restaurant on the way back home.  As soon as we sat down, I heard the […]
