Under His Wings…

He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge…     Psalm 91:4 Oh…how this verse has such profound meaning to me now. Bittersweet….  A verse that always puts a smile on my face, a tear in my eye, and a whispered prayer for a dear sister in Christ. “From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is HIGHER than I. For you have been a shelter for me, a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your WINGS.” Psalm 61:2-4 “Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in You; and in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge, until these calamities have passed by.” Psalm 57:1 “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry.”      Psalm 34:15 Under His wings find a shelter to run to, find protection and shelter from the pain. Cry out to the ROCK that is higher than you. Let Him fill your cup until it runs over with HIS Almighty strength and comfort. We can all draw strength from Him, our strong tower. He always hears and helps those who love Him. Pain is unbearable… no one can comprehend what the person is […]

Time…

Time… We all think we don’t have enough time to get all of our tasks done. We all have thought….Oh, I will just call or visit my family/friends tomorrow…I don’t have time to hold open a door for that elderly person, I have to get in here and out so I can hurry home, get supper and laundry done before my “show” comes on…or I don’t have time to set aside a few minutes in the morning or night to PRAY and THANK the Almighty One who gave me my next breath. Thats right….. your next breath. He gives you your next inhale and exhale of oxygen. We are not promised the next second of our life. In an instant, He can decide if it is your time to be taken from this earth. Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit, whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow, for what is life? It is even a VAPOR that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lords will, we shall live and do this or that.”                                 James 4:13-15 Man is like a breath; His days are like a passing shadow. Psalm 144:4 He […]

Jesus, What a Hero…

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son… His one and only son… JESUS who LOVED us so much, He suffered and died on a cross for our sins. Easter, such an important time to focus on what all Jesus went through for us. He gave up His life for each of us, having no guarantee that anyone would love Him or would accept His amazing gift of eternity in Heaven. He walked this earth as a man, just like me and you… Breathed the same smells, felt the same wind blowing against His cheek, and endured the same temptations we face. Jesus, what a Hero. He endured such suffering on the day He gave His life for us. He was betrayed by Judas (one of His own followers), suffered an excruciating beating, a crown of thorns pushed down into His head, mocked by many, denied by Peter 3 times (one of his followers), had to carry His own cross, had a nail pierced into each of His hands and feet (3 total), cried out He was thirsty..only to be offered wine vinegar on a sponge, and hung on a cross between two criminals. Through all of His pain and suffering, He still cried out with loving compassion for the soldiers…”Father, forgive them for they know not what they do”. One of the criminals said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”  Jesus answered […]

Look at the Birds of the Air…

As I was pulling up to my parents home today, I noticed a little bird sitting in one of my Mom’s beautiful, springtime blooming trees. There on a tree branch, sat one of God’s creatures, with it spitting snow all around, just resting. (I felt like this little bird was placed there just for me from my Heavenly Father.) As I got out of my car to take a picture, praying it wouldn’t fly away and thanking the Lord for what a beautiful sight, the words Jesus spoke about the birds of the air came to my mind.  Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?  “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin;  and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.  Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?  “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’  For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you […]

He Hears Your Heart!

We all go through trials in this life. Sometimes, we have no words to express the emotions that are within us about the storms that are trying to tear us apart… Exhaustion, confusion, and even “Why me?”, may start to consume you from these situations. The trials may come one right after another and get you so upset, that you can not even speak a single word to your Heavenly Father. “The Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the […]

The Ten Commandments

As soon as I woke up this morning, I remembered only one specific thing from my dream. (Sometimes I remember my dreams and other times I think, “did I dream at all?”) What I do remember from last nights dream has played over and over again in my mind all day. It was a man chiseling into a big piece of stone. Chiseling away, hitting a pick looking object with a rock, determined to finish the task. Of course, my first thought this morning (after the morning wake up fog, haha) was… Moses & The Ten Commandments With that being said, I was going to just write out a list of The Ten Commandments, but decided to write out exactly what God spoke to Moses. This passage can be found in Exodus 20:1-17 KJV “And God spoke all these words, saying, I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third […]

HIS Love…

I love spending some time each day reading different devotionals. I usually have my go to ones on the internet, but I recently received a book, “Jesus Always” by Sarah Young (her first one Jesus Calling is amazing!) from my sister for my birthday. It has verses at the end of each devotional, so I have to physically look up the verse in my Bible. All week long, as I have been looking up the verses from the book, I find myself coming back across the verse Romans 8:39…which has […]
