Eyes To See…

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth His handywork. Psalm 19:1

Thou, even thou, art Lord alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee. Nehemiah 9:6

God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend. Job 37:5

Ye are blessed of the LORD which made heaven and earth. Psalm 115:15

Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee. Jeremiah 32:17

This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. Ecclesiastes 3:11

A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel. Proverbs 12:10

Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds. Proverbs 27:23

And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. Genesis 1:20-21

It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

This morning I went with my Daddy to feed our cows some hay. As soon as we opened the gate, the cows started running toward us. The calves surrounded the truck I was in, while my Daddy moved the hay with the tractor. I couldn’t help but smile at them. Besides how cute they are and how fun to watch…They also bring back precious memories to me of my Pa who recently passed. In my younger days, if my Pa was going to work with the cows, you better believe I was tagging along. He would let me drive the four wheeler, open the gates, and even help drive the truck sometimes. I would much rather be with my Pa at the barn, in the fields, or the garage handing him tools than inside baking or cooking. Seeing those cows brought back precious memories that can never be replaced. Thankfully now, I am making new ones going with my Daddy to tend to them.

Seeing those cows run towards us today, I thought to myself, the only care those cows have are being fed. Our whole world is in chaos, but the cows were just peaceful. The babies were running around playing together. It made me think that I need to turn off the news and enjoy the small little things God blesses me with daily.

As I was pulling out of my Granny’s driveway today, God also displayed His artistic ability, a beautiful sunset. In a world full of chaos one thing is for sure, the Lord’s masterpieces are all around if we only have “eyes to see.” If you don’t have eyes to see the Lord’s mercy upon you or His blessings every day…If you don’t have the eyes to see He is being slow to anger with the lost condition of your heart… I pray the scales fall from your eyes like they did from Paul… I pray that God opens your eyes clearly before His mercy runs out.

For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. Matthew 13:15-16

Hear this now, O foolish people, Without understanding, Who have eyes and see not, And who have ears and hear not… Jeremiah 5:21

Be thankful for everyday, have the eyes to see God’s goodness. Even with all the bad that is going on within our lives, if we are saved living the way Jesus commands, we have Heaven to look forward to. Every single thing on this Earth is temporary. Nothing or no one will be going with you on judgement day. You stand alone before an Almighty JUST God.

Let us remember this verse…
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8

  1. We can learn a lot through a study of how animals respond. The LORD even points us to the ant for our admonition: Prov 6:6

Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise.
