And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. And there appeared an angel unto Him from heaven, strengthening him. And being in an agony He prayed more earnestly: and His sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. Luke 22:42-44

Christ knew what was ahead for Him. He was in agony while praying to His Father and His sweat dripped as blood. If you look this condition up, it occurs in people who are under extreme stress. I can’t even imagine what He was feeling knowing what He was fixing to endure for us. He endured it for all, even the ones who would spit in His face and pluck out His beard. On Earth, we may have to give up what “we want” our lives to look like. No matter how hard our “cross” might be that we must endure, it could never measure up to what Christ suffered for us. He paid a debt He didn’t even owe.

Remember what Christ did for you. Eternity is far too long to give up for the pleasures of just a season on Earth.
Repent (no matter of the Earthly cost), turn from your ways, and follow the only King who deserves all the praise.

CHRIST KNEW HE WOULD ENDURE THIS AND HE STILL WENT TO THE CROSS FOR YOU!!!!!! During His own agony, suffering, and relentless pain, HE still cried out for others- asking His Father to “forgive them for they know not what they do.”

Look what He did for you… what are you doing for HIM?
