Jesus, What a Hero…

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son… His one and only son… JESUS who LOVED us so much, He suffered and died on a cross for our sins. Easter, such an important time to focus on what all Jesus went through for us. He gave up His life for each of us, having no guarantee that anyone would love Him or would accept His amazing gift of eternity in Heaven. He walked this earth as a man, just like me and you… Breathed the same smells, felt the same wind blowing against His cheek, and endured the same temptations we face. Jesus, what a Hero. He endured such suffering on the day He gave His life for us. He was betrayed by Judas (one of His own followers), suffered an excruciating beating, a crown of thorns pushed down into His head, mocked by many, denied by Peter 3 times (one of his followers), had to carry His own cross, had a nail pierced into each of His hands and feet (3 total), cried out He was thirsty..only to be offered wine vinegar on a sponge, and hung on a cross between two criminals. Through all of His pain and suffering, He still cried out with loving compassion for the soldiers…”Father, forgive them for they know not what they do”.
