Praise Him in the Pit…
I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock and established my goings. And He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God; many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord. Psalm 40:1-4
Even in the pit, Praise Him. He is there in the pit with us… Just like He was in the lions den, in the belly of a whale, and in the firey furnace. He will never leave or forsake you. The pit has a reason. Even though we may not see the whole picture, God does. We must trust Him. The pit may be the thing that finally brings you to your knees for you to LOOK UP, for you to cry out to Him to save you, for you to realize what areas in your life need to be shaped into His way.
But now, O Lord, Thou art our Father; we are the clay, and Thou art our potter; and we all are the work of Thy hand. Isaiah 64:8
Yes, He is the potter and we are the clay. Thank you Lord, for shaping me.
The pit can also be your testimony, to bring others to see Gods love. The struggles we go through could be the very struggles that someone else needs guidance and hope with. We must go through the valley to stand upon the mountain.
Down in the pit, remember… “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think of these things.” Philippians 4:8
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. James 1:2-3
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
Look up from your pit…See the rainbow after the storm.
Press on weary one… He will see you through.
Rainbow after the Storm <— (if you click on that.. it will send you to a precious song!)
Through my struggles of health the past couple years, I finally have seen the truth. And feel like I must share with others… I must focus on the rainbow/rope (God)…instead of the storm/pit that tries to consume me.
“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men..” This was such a heartfelt verse for me this week. Due to health issues, I’m only able to work 2-3 hours a day now.. I love my job, love my clients, it makes my heart happy to be a beautician… and I want to work with all my heart… whatever I do, because He has gave me the desires of my heart with my beauty shop. As I prayed all week about my health and the outcome… I finally realized, even this blog is working for the Lord… and I always put all of my heart into each writing. It comes from my heart and through my daily walk with Jesus on earth. So regardless if I’m at my beauty shop for a couple hours, writing this blog, or even singing at church… I’m going to work at it wholeheartedly for HIM! Thank you all for reading, for your lovely comments, and for sharing with others so that they may find Jesus or find help from Him. Also, thank you for being a part of my love for Jesus.
Thank you Lord, for putting a new song in my heart… for showing me to focus on what is TRUE and Lovely… Lord, I praise you for every blessing and every trial that gets me closer to you. For the pit, give me strength to endure when I’m in it…Keep shaping my heart and life to be more like you. Lord, thank you for all my readers, for all my friends, family, clients, doctors, and all those I meet during the journey of doctor visits and daily life. Please bless them all. Father, for all the needy, homeless, and veterans… and unsaved.. I pray today you send someone to share YOUR love to them. Thank you for sending your Son to die for my sins… In Jesus precious name I pray, Amen.
