Honor Thy Father And Mother…

“Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honor thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” Ephesians 6:1-4

And from such people turn away! 6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 2 Timothy 3:1-7

*BLESSED*BETSY*

Heavenly Father, thank you for this day. Thank you for the mercy You show. I pray for our land. I know Your children (me included) have grieved and are grieving You. I am so thankful You are slow to anger. I am thankful You are full of mercy and grace. Be with the Godly parents training up the children of the future to come. May we all remember what our Godly parents taught us and not depart. Forgive us Lord, where we have not honored YOU- our Father, but also our earthly parents. I lift up all the parents who are training and have trained their children. May they receive the honor and respect that Your word commands. I pray for the lost Lord, not only is that Your child, but its some Momma and Daddy’s son or daughter. Give parents the strength to train their children in the ways of YOUR word, not of this evil world. Give parents the patience to endure if their children may disobey for a season. I lift up Your prodigal children, keep wooing and convicting them Father. Lord, I just lift up this land to you. Help us to turn away from the ways of the world and what is accepted. Lord, help us to remember what our parents taught us, to open our Bible and see what YOU say is right, not what is accepted now days. Thank you Father, for your son dying on the cross for our sins. Though He sweated blood and said “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” He obeyed, even when it hurt. Lord, help Your Christian children obey YOUR WAYS, YOUR revealed will even when it hurts, even when the world screams at them to disobey. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

    • I just love the word of God and how he uses you, “his child” to remind us that life is a gift. And we should be obedient to our father that shed his blood for us. He set the example for his children. This is a very important commandment. May you feel his presence forever.
