After mowing at my Granny and Pa’s house, I noticed this tree….

So full and bursting with green color… It made me think of, “In the beginning… God created….”

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth…

God spoke, “Let there be light”….and there was light. God saw that the light was good.

What a sight that would have been to see. Our powerful God making our earth and the heavens. The Bible tells us… “and God saw that it was good”… after everything He made. In six days, God made our days, nights, waters, land, stars, animals… He breathed life into man in His own image, forming him from dust. On the seventh day, God had finished His work He had been doing, so He rested from all His work. He blessed the seventh day and made it holy. (One of the commandments refers back to this… Exodus 20:8-11 “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but He rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.”)

Seed-bearing plants… trees of the land that bear fruit… stars that mark seasons, days, and years… birds that fly in the air… Man to rule over fish of the sea, livestock and over all the creatures that move along the ground…. ALL was GOOD!

God saw that there was no suitable helper for the man. So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; while he was sleeping, He took one of the man’s ribs and closed it. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib He had taken from the man and brought her to the man. The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called woman for she was taken out of man.”  “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife and they will become one flesh.”

All of this can be found in Genesis Chapter 1 & 2.

For all my Lord has created, I lift my hands with praise. It is all GOOD.

Light will always shine through darkness… A soft whisper will always turn away wrath (Proverbs 15:1)…Goodness will always overcome evil. Love will always triumph hate…

Look around and see all that God declared “GOOD!“
